How to create this widget for a book blog

I was wondering if anyone knew how to create those advertising lists at the top of some book blogs where they show a post/book they are featuring and you can look through it by clicking an arrow button or sometimes hovering over small circles in the bottom right of the widget. I would be grateful if you could let me know by emailing me or commenting below. Also sorry for the horrible description i wrote.

Hmmm, Im not sure how to create widgets....However I do know how to code banners.... I guess a banner counts as a widget!

I normally use third-party Widgets, there are some good ones out there! Like: https://widgets.amazon.com/?
