Permalink Reply by Gareth Wilson on May 6, 2011 at 12:38pm You might want to try Lara Chapman's Flawless, its a modern retelling of Cyrano De Bergerac and although the book jacket didn't sell it to me I found it entertaining enough.
You may also enjoy Holly Black's Modern Tales of Fairie (Tithe, Valiant and Ironside.)
From Amanda's list of the ones I've read I back:
Hex Hall
Raised by Wolves by Jennifer Lynn Barnes (the second book Trial By Fire is out soon.)

Journey into the Realm: The Elf Girl by YA Author Markelle Grabo
This is Markelle's first novel and first book in this six book series.
Markelle is 17 years old (my daughter). If you like fantasy fiction you will like this.
Check out her website www.markellegrabo.com to read the first chapter, see the book trailer and learn more about her. You would need to order this on-line via barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com as it is not in stores yet. Well, it is in a few local booksellers in Wisconsin, but since it was just released in April it is very new - but getting great reviews thus far.
