Choker by Elizabeth Woods is a great book (standalone). A series that I recently discovered (and am loving) is the Soul Screamers series by Rachel Vincent, starting with My Soul to Take.
Lauren Oliver is also a fantastic author, she has two books out right now - Before I Fall (standalone) and Delirium (book one of a trilogy). Both are excellent, although I do prefer BIF over Delirium.
Across the Universe by Beth Revis and Hex Hall by Rahcel Hawkins are also reads that I thoroughly enjoyed.
:) I hope that helped you some.

Permalink Reply by Gareth Wilson on February 17, 2011 at 1:16pm Depends what you're after if you want something a little different Iron Witch by Karen Mahoney is pretty good. You've also got Holly Black's Modern Tales of Faerie (Valiant, Ironside, Tithe).
Or if you want something more for the younger audience theres the Changeling series by Steve Feasey.
Theres also The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan and Generation Dead by Daniel Waters.
