I got this question recently and it pushed me to think hard about what I read (more than once) and why. My answer was "The Little Prince." The words offered in the book touched my heart and have carried me through some tough times. It is because of The Little Prince that I know I am unique in all the world and also that I have stars that can laugh.

My most favorite thing in the world to do is to curl up in a comfy chair, in a quiet room, and a cold drink and just escape into a good book. Growing up poor the only thing I really had was books. That was my escape, to take a walk in a secret garden, visit Mr. Darcy in Pemberly, or even check out some flowers in the attic. My mother knew always where to find me; held up in the hay stacks reading a good book.
Brings back fond memories,
