Hello,
So I've been around for about 2 and 1/2 months and haven't had any issues yet, but as I'm getting more views and followers, I want to make sure I have this down correctly.
How important is it that I do disclosures for what I write in my reviews? If I cover other topics that I'm simply writing a how to or imformational piece for my readers do I need to include anything extra? What about giveaways?
I don't want to get myself or anyone else into trouble.
Thanks guys, any help is appreciated!

As far as I know there are only rules concerning sponsored reviews ( aka if you received a free copy to review) or if you were compensated in any way. People like to know if you were given anything in return for the review. I always include the following for books that I was given a free copy of: "I received a free copy of this book to review. No other compensation was given. The summary and opinion are 100% my own." Of course, I write my own summary - you must give credit if you copy the synopsis from the book cover or amazon synopsis.
As for giveaways, all of the prizes for mine are supplied by the authors or publishers, so I make sure to thank them in the giveaway and therefore acknowledge that they are the ones giving out the prize.
As for how-tos or informational pieces I'm not sure - I don't do those. I would think you should go with normal plagerisim rules and make sure you're up front and honest.

Sounds like I should be good and covered, I would just hate to do anything compromising to myself, my viewers or any author or friend that guests on The Ink Puddle.
