International bloggers and publishers

Do you know any publishers working with international bloggers? I know that US publishers mostly send arc only to US bloggers, UK publishers to Uk bloggers and so on. I don't want to work with my publishers from my country (Poland) because I write my blog in English and they won't accept it. I use Netgalley but it's more about printed ARCs... Anyone knows?

Great question.

The main reason publishers work with bloggers is for publicity.

Actually it's probably the only reason. When a title comes out in the US/UK what good is it for the publisher to advertise it in Poland?

Also, realize that the cost of an ARC is much more of that than a finished book (due to the low printing run) so the publishers aren't out sending it to everyone who asks, targeted marketing is the name of the game.

Not really... I write in English and my readers are mostly from US. I got like 3 polish followers only... 

Since The Book Depository started to work it doesn't matter where we live :D

The biggest reason that it is hard to find publishers outside of your country to work is has to do with international treaties and laws. When a publisher buys a manuscript for publication they usually do so in a limited area, such as the originating country, and have no legal right to distribute said manuscript outside of that area. To make easier on the publisher to determine if they have distribution rights in your country they usually just choose to work "locally" and avoid the headaches.

NetGalley tracks countries reviewers are coming from and passes it on to the publisher. It is then up to the publisher to determine if they have the distribution rights in that country or not. There is a disclaimer about somewhere on the site.

Yes, e-books follow the same copyright and distribution laws as printed works do. I wish I could remember exactly where it was that I saw the disclaimer it had a nice explanation.
