Is Someone Stealing Your Blog Reviews?
Jen Robinson at Jen Robinson's Book Page tweeted yesterday that for about one year, a blogger has been stealing her book reviews and posting them on his site as if Jen was a guest reviewer!
I guess the blogger in question has stolen content from 4 or 5 other sites!
Has anyone else experienced this?!

I follow Jen's tweets and I don't think she'll ever disclose who the offending blogger was. The content was taken down and the blogger, who claimed he didn't think what he was doing was wrong, has apologised; so I guess that's the end of it. I'm really relieved this scandal was nipped in the bud so cleanly and classily! =)

I know someone is stealing my content, but they are giving me full credit including links so I don't mind. I did find someone putting my content on a bb site which I had them taken down.

You're very generous to the first blogger. Does he know that you know?
I think I'd mind if people who visited the other person's blog never made it to mine and he got all the comments. But that hasn't happened to me yet, and as long as my content remains too "bad" to steal, it likely won't! ;-)

I don't think it's a blogger, looks like a bot which simply displays WP skins.

Oh! A bot did that to me once, too, but since it featured only a few lines from my post and then linked back to my blog immediately, I decided it wasn't worth making a fuss about.

bot is an internet robot. Basically a software applications that run automated tasks over the internet to collect/manipulate date.
WP = WordPress
WP skin is WordPress theme - that's what I meant to say :)

I don't think its happened the only time stuff has gone out somewhere else is when people have asked. I don't generally mind provided I'm asked ahead of it appearing elsewhere and as long as they acknowledge where it originally appeared.
The silly thing is I'm already looking at books for September and whilst they won't appear on the blog until that date as I feel its unfair to get a reader excited about a book they can't buy now it can feel frustrating when others get thier stuff out now.
