What is the best and easiest way to get my novels into Kindle mode... .. danke

There is an ebook that is free on amazon called "Building Your Book For Kindle." Even if you don't have a kindle you can download the free kindle app from amazon and then download the book into the app.

Calibre (google it) will transfer them into Kindle (mobi) format.

You can embed the file into a PDF and upload the PDF straight to the kindle self publishing.

Start at the source:
Sign up or use your Amazon account to sign in and go through their help files.
You can also sign up for SmashWords to convert your files from word and put your book up for sale. Even if you don't use SmashWords they do have some amazing free FAQ documents on formats and marketing.
As was said before Calibre is a great free software to convert files from one format to another.
