Hi, I am new to Book Blogs and I was wondering how to market my books. My books are a combination of historical romance and mystery with a hint of supernatural. Is it acceptable to post links to my books or can that only be done by an administrator? I would also like to promote my website www.irinashapiro.com which has a description of my novels and cover images, plus some information about me.
Post on here.
Visit some of the blogs who are members here, and see if they're suitable for your book, then read their policy carefully and send them a well-crafted email pitching them the book.
Posting here is a good start. Also, I've notice that a lot of new and Indie authors contact review bloggers for review and promotion requests. As a reviewer myself, I get a lot of emails directly from authors requesting I review and promote new books to help get more interest and traffic to the author's book/website.
I suggest searching the review bloggers who post about books in your genre, then contact them with your review request - make sure to include a blurb about the book, and yourself and include website, book buy links.
here are my blogs, if you need a place to start, and you can see examples of my reviews and promotional posts:
family friendly: Loves 2 Read
teen/YA: B'Tween Prose
adult only: Faerotic Prose
I know it says "not taking new reviews" but for you, I'd make an exception to help you get going. Feel free to email me your book info if you think it would fit on one of my blogs.
Also, I list quite a few other review bloggers in my sidebar - check them out as well for contacts -
hope this helps!
Look through that directory under your genre. You should be able to find some bloggers that might like your book. Make sure you read their review policies before you ask them to review your book though!
Thank you, Alison. This is helpful and I'll check it out.
If you're looking for reviewers Im always looking for a great novel to review for my blog :)

My gothic novel But a Walking SHadow is now available on Kindle as well as paperback.
A beautiful young woman, Aphra Devereaux leaves Paris after the death of her father to live in the mansion that was her deceased sister, Lady Freya Fitzroy’s home. She finds the once grand Stoneleigh is now a gloomy, decaying mansion. Additionally her sister’s husband Sir Roland is now a deranged drug addict. To her surprise she finds her sister’s neglected child of whose existence she was unaware. Also a woman of dubious character appears to be managing Roland’s life. The only hope she has is Roland’s brother Edmund but he is away fighting in the Crimea. The society background of her young life has not conditioned her for what she experiences at Stoneleigh or the filth and lowlife of the London streets and the hypocritical upper class London Society.
A dark, gothic tale of disillusionment, tragedy, loss, rape, lunacy, child abuse, and frustrated love set in Victorian England
I new to book blogs myself so I don't know what the rules are for this site but I did run across a new blog site that was looking for books to review. They were great about reviewing mine and posting a review to Goodreads. You might see if they want to review your book. www.reviewitbooks.com
