I'm trying to start up a new meme called Thursday Three. If you want to join, that'd be great. However, I didn't start this thread to promote my meme. I want to discuss memes in a more general sense. What are your favorite memes? What do you think makes a meme effective or ineffective? How do you strike a balance between memes and other types of posts? Have you ever tried to start a meme? How did you promote it?
