I have four primary blogs and a bunch of sub-blogs that run off the primary ones. By far my most successful blogs are the ones I write personal things on. People love to get to know the person behind the blog. Most of mine start with a static post that stays in the first position with the same header " Morning Thoughts" or " Evening Thoughts". The content changes almost everyday and it talks a little about what is going on in my life and how it pertains to my book business and book reviews.

I would add a little more content to the side bars and make the reviews a little more personal.

You can look into link building and things like that once you get things going. Giveaways are good, too.

Hi thank you for your reply I starting off with this whole blogging world so I think I have to play around a bit too and see what i come come with. But I really like the Idea of add a blog to this but how to you go about doing that so they link with her of, so i can write about life.
I just looked at your blog, So in one blog you write about books and your prsonal life all in one blog?

But how do you get people to keep looking at you blog?
Welcome to the book blogging world! I've got three "marketing" aritcles that touch on attracting followers. You can find them HERE.

I took a look at your blog. I like the simply layout. That is a plus. And you've got Google Followers as an option and that is a plus.

I suggest adding an RSS feed option - another way for people to keep up with your posts. Under design, Blogger has a simple gadget you can add for RSS subscription.

As always, keep working on writing great content! Remember, we can find a book summary anywhere. What readers want are your personal thoughts - what you thought, liked, didn't like - about a book. For some awesome tips visit The Desert Book Chick here and check out her resources for bloggers.
