The cover below is for my new novel I am working on. So far with my other books, I have found I can do how to covers all day long, yet the fiction covers have been less than "lacking" in appeal.
(Personally I would have called the last couple for "Surviving In America: Under Siege" absolutely garbage.)
I worked my rear end off on this one for "Surviving With Joe", and want to know what everyone thinks.

I really, really like it. My only reservation would be your name at the side (I may be totally wrong) it's harder to read but I like it visually and the colours are brilliant. The cover suggests it could be literary fiction. It looks contemporary and cool.

Maybe make it more creative and put your name in the tiger's mouth where it is dangling out like you are its food. It would go along with the book's title.

The graphic of the cat is phenomenal. However the lettering of the name while it looks fine at this huge size, will probably be lost when it is a thumbnail. Test that. If you can still read it then fine - otherwise I would humbly suggest that you change out the type face for a bolder one or fill in the letters so they are more legible at a smaller size.

I want to thank you guys for your feedback. Deb, you made a very good point with the thumbnail question. I added a shrunken thumbnail version beside it which is about the same size as amazon uses for comparison on the small size.

Hi Paul,
As you can see, it is not legible enough at that size. I know what it says and cannot read it : (
I like that you have your name on the left, but even it is hard to read. You might want to try different shades of yellow or orange to stick with your original color scheme. White might work... maybe that grey that is in the cat as a solid would be better... The more I think of it, I would definitely try that color. It would stay in your color scheme without being to strong a contrast.

Thanks guys, your help has been appreciated very much.

The concept's cool, but the tiger graphic looks like it could use some smoothing out, especially along the edges.
