I just finished the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. It was beyond excellent. The first book is City of Bones.

I like the Georgia Nicholson series by Louise Rennison. It starts with Angus Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging. I'm reading #8 right now (Love is a Many Trousered Thing).

I reviewed this and I think it would be great for a 15 year old girl. I gave my 14 year old niece the review copy and she loved it. Ariels Journey by Doug & Christy Kane.

The Fablehaven series by Brandon Mull, or the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer. The forst book is also out as a graphic novel, and it captures the tone of the first book very well.
