Hey all. I've only been blogging for about a little over a month, and am trying to gain more followers. Just wondering if anyone has any advice as to what I should/shouldn't do in order to get my blog more noticed?

I've been struggling  to find followers for my new blog, The Writing Apprentice. I'm open to all suggestions and have just started writing articles for Ezinearticles as a way to link to my blog. Keep it up and it will get better. (At least that's what I'm telling myself).

I am also new to blogging. The best advice I have been given is to join others and they will usually join you. If this doesn't work for you ask them if they will follow you. I'll follow you so you won't walk alone.

I agree with the other comments listed before mine...I think leaving interesting comments on other peoples blogs, joining in Blog hops and just participating as much as you can on network sites!  ( Like this one )

Join sites like goodreads, email bloggers, make buddies who will mention you, and *big* blogs host features and tell you to post your link, and viewings increase that way. Good luck!

I agree with what everyone else is saying. Basically put yourself out there. Read other blogs, comment, participate in weekly events and challenges, etc. It will come with time. I used to have a horror themed blog a long time ago and it took a while to build up a following. I took a break and am starting fresh with a new review blog myself.

I just entered my second year of blogging. Networking with fellow bloggers is always a must! Beyond that, these three things have helped so far to increase my hits and followers:

1. interview authors

2. include guest posts

3. host book tours

Incidentally, I checked out your blog. We both received an ARC of My Boyfriend from Hell. When will you review it? Perhaps, we could exchange comments?
