Welcome! It is great around here! Everyone is very willing to help each other! What do you write or are you a book blogger? I am an author who writes young adult/new adult fiction. My first 3 books are out and they are a part of a trilogy called, The Holly Nather Trilogy. :)

Why?? Do you find it expensieve? It's the quality that counts, not the quantity!

Because you have not proven the quality to the reader. I would suggest that you research Amanda Hocking. When she first started she sold books for $2.99. She sold half a million books during one month because of the low price and the stories. However, ever since the publisher took over and increased the price, she now sells 3,000 books per month (based on 9 books or so). The price over $2.99 for a novel of 370 pages is a consideration for the reader. A book of 37 pages must be extraordinary for $5.00. There are also a lot of articles on the $2.99 and $.99 price that prove that an unknown will sell more at these prices than above. These prices are based on novels. I only suggest that you research the market.

For example, my book is better quality than many known author's books. Mine sells for $2.99. Yet, the known authors sell at $9.99 and higher. However, I have not proven myself to the reader.
