Nook or Kindle?

My wonderful husband has given me the choice of a Nook or Kindle for Christmas. I have looked at both and they seem to have their pros and cons. I was wondering if anyone here with experience with either one would mind sharing.

 

Is either one better for NetGalley? Does either one not work for NetGalley? 

 

I am sure I will be happy with whichever I ultimately choose but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask for opinions.

I guess time will tell. My husband figures he will get a Kindle for himself next Christmas and then we will have both formats covered. He gave me first choice since I do so many reviews.

for my birthday last year my wife asked me the same question, what would I prefer, Kindle or Nook, and upon doing some asking around, and reading a lot of reviews I finally decided to go with the latest Kindle, basically for the built in free 3G connection, which has allowed me to download books from anywhere. also I can transfer my PDF files, and through a device specific e-mail address I can send word or PDF files and have them converted into Kindle format, for free, as long as I download them through either my pc and then transfer to the Kindle via a USB wire or wirelessly through a Wi-Fi connection. If I download it through the amazon whispernet (3G connection) there is a small fee that I have to pay.
