Outlaw, Holy Warrior and King's Man are tales of Robin Hood told by his faithful follower Alan Dale. The characters are complex and richly textured and the world is challenging and vibrant. It is a superbly well-crafted novel.
The intrique, schemes and amazing pace are very well balanced with the nuances of character development and emotion. If you purchase this as a gift for those who enjoy historical fiction, I promise you that they'll enjoy every page.
