Paperbacks vs eBooks

Let's face it- I am so far behind the times that I don't own a Kindle (I did but it broke and haven't been able to replace it) or even an eReader. 

I know a lot of new authors strictly have eBooks because that's just everyday life now. I've tried reading ebooks on the computer but I get distracted. Do new authors have paperbacks available or do I need to save and get me a Kindle?

(I know it probably doesn't make sense. Sorry about that.)

I don't own a kindle either. I do have installed on my laptop and phone. Until I decide to go with a tablet, I don't see the point the point of buying one when the software is free. I prefer e-books both in reading and publishing.

I still don't have an e-reader, kindle or whatever else is out there. I think it's a generational thing, everyone is all in to the electronic gadgets. I published my book as a paperback and I got few folks wanted to know if it was available in e-format. I personally still love to have the physical book in my hands, but I guess I have to keep up with the times and do an e-book.

You would be surprised how many authors still only publish in print. I have come across several in the past week. I would still like to see my book in print. I just found it easier to publish in e-book first

I would recommend every author to publish as both paperback and eBooks. Wish you all the best.

My small publisher (Whiskey Creek Press) specializes in e-books, but as a print book lover I was happy with the option to have my first novel out in print, too -- although unfortunately they don't have the distribution capabilities to put me in a brick and mortar store. Also unfortunately, they publish shorter works only in e-book form, which means the short story collection I have coming out in May will be e-book only. It seems the best bet for being able to read whatever you want is to have an e-reader. This is where I confess to not having one myself, although I've got the Kindle program on my computer.
