Hi Everyone,

The long-awaited day is finally here. We have learned that our deadline for purchasing a plan on the Ning is August 20th. We need to raise $500 by then to keep this network going for another year. There are two ways to donate on this site:
1. There is a donation button at the top right-hand corner of the main page.
2. There is a Donate tab up at the top next to the Chat tab.
Both buttons will take you to a PayPal site where you can enter a donation amount. No amount is too small.

I am not going to be making any money on this website. Once we've reached our goal, the Donate tabs will be removed and we can all rest easy for awhile. With nearly 7,000 members and over 1,000 daily site visitors, I think we can do this!

In addition, if anyone would like to purchase advertising space on this site, that would be a great way to help us keep this site running as well.

I'm on vacation, but I just wanted to pop in and say that I'm thrilled with the response we've gotten so far on our donations. We have $210 of our $500 in just 5 days!! I also wanted to quickly mention that ad space will be available starting in August. For those of you who expressed interest or who would like to purchase space in the future, we will be setting up rates and contacting you. Our hope is that we will have less money to raise in future years by selling some ads.
