Please share your 'tricks' for generating traffic to your blog?

I've just started a blog at www.newbooksnigeria.wordpress.com and I sometimes have stats as low as 3 views in a whole day. I wonder if there's something I can do to improve this situation and get more people viewing my blog?

I agree.  Twitter is one of the best tools for a blogger, but I agree don't spam by posting a link to your blog every 5 seconds.  I usually unfollow those people within seconds.
