Quite simply, this was the most entertaining back story I’ve ever read.
My review of "Dust" by Arthur Slade. It's a bit spooky but I enjoyed it!
State of Wonder by Ann Patchett is a fictional book taking place, mostly, in Brazil’s Amazon region. I have been in that region and ever since loved reading about it, reliving my adventures and banging my head against the wall wishing to go back again and look at things with more informed eyes.
The publisher is giving away one copy of this book— use the Rafflecopter form at the end of the post to enter.
Do you or a loved one have ADHD? Stop by my blog to read my review of Movers, Dreamers and Risk-Takers: Unlocking the Power of ADHD by Kevin Roberts. I am also hosting a giveaway for a copy of the book.
I was thrilled to learn that Spacek as a child had the spunk of Judy Blume’s Sally J. Friendman and the tomboyishness of Harper Lee’s Scout Finch. While it was awful to learn of her terrible family tragedy, I was thrilled that she used her grief to follow her dreams of becoming a performer.
Check out my full review of My Extraordinary Ordinary Life by Sissy Spacek.
My latest review is Redemption of a Hollywood Starlet by Kimberly Lang.
God’s Middle Finger: Into the Lawless heart of the Sierra Madre by Richard Grant is a non-fiction book about the author’s “tour” of Mexico’s Sierra Madre region. Mr. Grant is a British journalist who came to the other side of the pond in search of strangeness and adventure – I think he found both.
Allegra is a paranormal investigator whose toe twitches whenever something unusual comes too near. Well, at least, that’s what happened in the first books in this series. She cut her toe big time on a coral reef early in this book and her radar was off. She’s got a sexy guardian angel named Casper who she loves but can’t have. Other than that, life is great — she’s got a job in paradise (the south pacific), helping to stop a war between the Mers and the Goblins by tracking down stolen treasure. Rrrrrrrr!
My latest book review is Dina Silver's latest release, Kat Fight. She's going to be a guest author July 9th with a Giveaway for a paperback.
SKELETON WOMEN by Mingmei Yip - a review of a novel about femme fatales in Old Shanghai.
My review of Walter Isaacson's exhaustive biography of Albert Einstein.

"Have only just started so will update when finished but first impressions are great. I'm only 40 pages in and I'm hooked. Can't wait to finish work to get back to this tale.
Finished this book now, i couldn't put it down.
A really fab read, love story with twists and turns and a decent ending. One of those smiley happy feel good books that leave you on a high the rest of the day.
Would recommend this to all who love to read a nice book with plenty of action, emotion and surprise. "
