I read quite a lot of non-fiction reference books; works on history, development of the English language, herbs, gardening, science, archaeology, etc. Here's one of my recent favorite recent non-fiction reference reads that takes an unusual look at traditional herb use, folklore, and tradition: Essential Herbal Wisdom: A Complete Exploration of 50 Remarkable Herbs by Nancy Arrowsmith
