I just reviewed the recently published The Sentinels: Fortunes of War here at my blog, The Courtier's Book.

It's a very interesting, intellectual WWII thriller that may expand into a full series.
I thought my latest read was very good. Here is my review of The Promise of Wolves.
The Harrowing of Hell by Stephen Seal

This is the story of the three days Jesus was dead. The author uses the well document theology of the Harrowing of Hell based on biblical verses to tell the story of what Jesus did during these three days. The story is well written, and gripping. It tells of what may have happened after the crucifixion and before the resurrection. Although it is fictional it has a sound basis, and makes the reader identify with the characters of the story. The writing is contemporary and a pleasure to read. It is hard to put this book down, one simply has to find out the end.
The author uses powerful imagery, making the reader feel he is part of the action. It is thought provoking, informative and entertaining all in one. It one of those books that mixes fact and fiction delivering christian messages throughout the encounters with characters and situations. I highly recomend it.
