I love searching through the wonderful blogs associated with this group, but sometimes I'd just like to find a new book to read! I thought this would be a great place to JUST post review links! Here's my latest:
The fiction reviewed is a collection of short stories written by a Filipino-American author who currently lives in Hawai'i and teaches at Punahou School.
Hey, thanks for the opportunity to shout out to fellow writers. I'm from Maine and since my literary novel was about lobstermen, reviews were either going to be an A or an F. Already built into this subculture is the feeling that if you're not born here, you really have no right to be writing about it. So, with this review (from the granddaddy of lobster fishing media), I was feeling like the last skinny kid in gym class waiting to take a dodgeball in the face....
I have posted my review of Through the Triangle by C. P. Stewart. SciFi is not my genre of choice, but this one intrigued me and I was not disappointed! My review is on Bookvisions.
I have a review up for enjoyable Gudrun's Tapestry by Joan Schweighardt.
The novel is based on the "Sigurth" and "Guthrun" lays, as they appear in the Poetic Edda, and on the history of the Germanic and Hun tribes during the reign of Attila the Hun.
