I don't want you all to think that I have disappeared but my computer contacted a virus and from the man that is fixing it says it's a bad one.  He is working on it and has been for over a week now.  I sure miss it!  He called and said he thought he would be done with it by "next week".  Wish I knew what "next week" meant.  Hopefully it's Monday.  :)  I am using a computer at our place of business because I dropped in to say hi to all of them and also dropping in to say hi to you all and that I hope to be back soon.  Jan

I'm a tech teacher. Any virus that takes a week to repair--you're best off to reformat. Have you backed everything up?
Backing up is usually not necessary if you store your personal files on a different partition, or even better, a different hard drive. A virus usually focuses on your operating system or your program files, so keeping those apart from your own data will prevent damage.

Not everything because I thought the computer would be coming back.  But it completely "died" so had to get a new one.  Trying to get it similar to what I had on the old one.  Thanks for the response.

That I understand. A noble goal.
