I've been dealing with personal problems. I'm wondering if people would stop reading my book blog if I was to only post once a month. Yes, I know that blogging you should at least post at least once a week or more. But, with what's been going on with my persanal life I just haven't been doing a lot of reading. So, my question is..do you think that being I have now 87 posts on my blog that my readership will go down as will as lose followers?

If they like your writing/reviews, they will follow you. You might not have as many followers as you would if you posted daily or weekly but you'll still get followers. I subscribe to some blogs that post infrequently.

Your personal life is more important then your blogging one. Take the time you need to deal with real life and don't worry about the blog. Yes, your daily pageviews will go down. Yes, your blog will grow at a slower rate. Yes, you may lose a follower or 2.

But overall, does it matter? The blog will still be there when you get back and you aren't so far invested in it that you are talking about losing income and hundreds of readers. Another option is to try and gain some contributors for your blog. I currently have about 10 regular contributors who do book reviews for my site.

Most important, take care of yourself and don't allow your blog to become a source of stress.

Best of luck!
