Read, Reviewed, NOW WHAT?!?!

I am getting to the point now that I have a small pile of books that I have read and reviewed. I probably wont keep them all- but what is appropriate to do with ARCs or Free Books that have been sent to you?

 

What do you do?

• Sell them
• Donate them
• Do a book giveaway with them (even though your read it already?)
• Keep them forever
• Give them to friends
• Other...

I was thinking some of the middle grade reads would be great to donate to my kids classrooms!

I keep the top 10 or so books, there's a bar across town that has a nice book recycle program, so I will be giving any duds back. Going forward I'm a Kindle fan, so I won't have this problem. :P Just got my new kindle a few weeks ago. Love it.

I also have a Kindle, I adore it! But I also like being able to have physical copies of some books- so I haven't completely gone digital yet!

I have done the following:

-- giveaway

-- donated to library

-- donated to USO (who will get them to the troops)

-- give to friends (or more like, my mother-in-law!)

That is something I have always wanted to know, too.  Glad I can do a giveaway or donate them.  What do you do with the books you do NOT recommend, or didn't receive a good rating (based on your own opinion)?

Exactly. Just because I didn't like it, doesn't mean someone else wouldn't... :)

I love the idea of donating to the USO! I never would have thought of that!

They collect all kinds of things for the troops. Call your local USO office and find out if they'll take books. I've also done Operation Paperback, but my reading tastes are eclectic enough that I don't always have the books that the troops are requesting.

I love that idea. I will pass that on to all my bookie friends, and we will begin to do this as well.
