Hi everyone!  Remember to mark your calendars for the April 10th Dewey's Read A Thon.  This is going to be a lot of fun, with mini challenges, prizes, and hanging out with other book lovers.

The read a thon is the one group event of the blogosphere that I don't under the appeal of. Reading and blogging for 24 hours straight sounds like torture. So give me the elevator pitch. What makes it such a hit?

Well, I think it is the fact that a large group of people all over the world are setting aside a day to dedicate to just reading. If you cant do the 24 just do what you can, but the point is just to have fun. Maybe you get to finally read that book you have been wanting to get to but haven't had time. I love the idea of taking a day to read as that just never happens for me unless I make it happen. :)

I enjoy the networking part of it. The mini challenges are breaks where you can go and visit other blogs and take part in a challenge where you have the opportunity to have fun and maybe win something.

I signed up and am ready to go! I even have a stack of books at the ready. And if all goes well, I have a babysitter for the whole day, so I can read without interruption. I can't wait!
