I've almost finished putting together my new blog that will focus on book related matters only. One of the things I still have to do is come up with a review guideline or something for the authors who's books I'll review. Please help me out here, I'd would like to know what it is that you think is imperative for an author to know about the reviewer and their work before they submit their work for review?

Mine isn't as long as some of the others, kind of a happy medium... feel free to check it out for inspiration- thats what helped me the most!

I am also working on developing a good review policy..I don't have one on my blog just yet.

Since I started this thread in June Latoya I was able to create one with other bloggers generous offers of using theirs for reference. I feel mine is a little to detailed but am always stumped when it comes to choosing what to take out. You are more than welcome to it:Fabulosity Reads Review Policy

Review Policy is important, it looks professional and ethical I guess. If I would be publisher or author, after checking out your blog's content I would go straight to your Review Policy page and see what you read, what you include with your reviews etc. I've got one on my site FICBOOKREVIEWS Review Policy its not perfect but hope it helps.

I also include a disclaimer that my reviews are all honest, and that receiving a review copy for free does not guarantee a positive review.  It helps to avoid conflict further down the road.
