As I was attracted to this site by the thought that there were people out there who genuinely wanted to review books, I am now a little bemused. I have a novel-a thriller- I would like reviewed but all of the subjects under discussion seem to be about other things!

Are there any people/members left who would just like to read a good story and pass comment. I still do; am I alone?

I'm sure you're not alone. The whole reason I started writing book reviews is because I enjoy doing exactly that - reading a good story and passing comment. Heck, I have my friend's first book winging it's way to me in the post as I type. I have another 11 books lined up that I thought sounded good and I can't wait to get into to while away my evenings... so no, you're not alone.

Also, I love a good thriller and would love to review but I'm afraid of disappointing you with waiting because of the aforementioned book pile... I wouldn't be able to get around to reading it until at least mid-october :(

Let me have your e-mail or e-mail me at www.jack.everett@lineone.net and I will send you a copy of The Tourist in Kindle, epub(sony), pdf(Adobe) or Word by return and you may be the 1st one who gets to review it. Thanks for being bold and I hope you enjoy the read.
Thank you for trusting me with this , I've already sent you an e-mail and will be able to get round to it once I've reviewed my friend's book.

Hello, Hayley. I'm in the same situation as Jack. You mentioned that you enjoy thrillers so you may be interested in Chill Run. Fortunately there isn't a huge rush since I only need a review published on December 1, 2011.

The first two teaser chapters and the media kit are in the links below. If you're interested please let me know.

I read your review and left you a comment, Melissa. Do you only read YA novels because it you do I have one entitled Merlin's Kin I can let you have or would you be prepared to try a thriller?

I wasn't too sure what you meant by follow but my Twitter name is Jack_59 and I am on Facebook.

Well, I'm afraid I can't help with the review (I only review romances), but I can give you some suggestions and bump you on on the forum.  :)

There are lots of people here who love to do reviews.  I would suggest joining groups that would fit your book and leaving posts there asking for reviewers.  Giving a short synopsis is helpful too in finding reviewers since they can get a feel of the book.  Another thought is that there are several people here who can't read e-books, so you might want to consider sending out a a few print copies if they are available.  (I don't know if it's e-book only or not).

Don't get discouraged.  This site covers a lot of different people from authors needing reviews, to authors needing help, to reviewers needing suggestions, etc.  There are a lot of different kinds of discussions.  Good luck with your book!

I just received my first review for my third book that just came out.  Check it out, if you like.

That is one great review. 5* to boot just what I could do with; pity she doesn't do crime thrillers.
Excellent cover image!!!
Anything you are prepared to do is better than nothing and will be appreciated greatly. The book is only in e-book form until it proves its worth then into TPB. Of course I could be a total cynic and say it won't at this rate but I prefer to hope that there are people like me out there who will be prepared to help.
