Permalink Reply by Melissa's Eclectic Bookshelf on January 17, 2012 at 8:18pm I use google the google calender too...I put all my weekly features in...and all reviews, blog tours, guest posts etc. Helps keep me organized and see what I have coming up and what days I have available for future scheduling etc.
I also use google docs to keep a short list of books I need to read for review.

I generally aim to post at least Monday Wednesday and Friday. Keeping a consistant schedule is key. As for what books you post on which days, I have found google calendars to be a useful tool as well- mostly I just schedule the reviews ahead of time on my blogger account.

Permalink Reply by Michelle Scott on January 18, 2012 at 7:41pm I never thought of using Google calendars, but that's a great idea! I use the old fashioned pen-and-paper method, but I blog a lot at work, and I don't always have my calendar with me.

I think it really depends on the amount of time you have to spend posting. Depending on the time I have available- I might post daily or once every couple days. It's important to post regularly though if you want to build an active readership.

I use a planner. Since I am not on the computer the majority of the day because of work, my planner helps me to remember when I have posts scheduled. I still forget once in a while when I don't check the planner, but that rarely happens.
Always schedule to fit your convenience. For me, I schedule a min. of 2 posts a week. I have my blog schedule planned out a month in advance and whenever there are extra tour dates for interviews, giveaways, or guest posts, I just add them in the schedule so that sometimes I'll have more than 2 posts a week. If you have more posts to schedule, schedule more times a week. I'm running a blog survey and most of my readers are wanting me to post 3-4 times a week, so I might do that later... when I find the time to add more scheduled posts.
Hope this helps.
