Something new....

Hello all. I am looking for comments on my current project. This is a pseudo horror story combined with a thousand years of history in the southwest USA and is the result of a challenge. Last year, after I had just finished my book Zahir, I was looking for an inspiration; a challenge. One of my co-workers, mostly in jest, exclaimed, "Write about a stick!" Oh foolish me, I accepted the dare. From such things comes the genesis of a story and the beginnings of Heart Wood. Attached is a .pdf of the first two chapters (totally unedited so forgive the typos, that's the way the process works). I have nine chapters so far and will post the others depending on the response I receive.

I am the only one replying to my own post, but if you stop by, please visit the group I just started. The group is called Unknown Country and features discussions about the far horizons. The two chapters are interesting. Maybe try a little more dialogua in the first chapter. The characters talking even to themselves will help keep the reader interested
