Definately The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss! It's fantasy, but not LOTR rip-off fantasy, it's really really really amazing. I cannot say how much I truly loved this book!

Robert McCammon's Swan Song. I have read it three times...own my own copy....I don't think I will ever get tired of reading it! It is a post apocalyptic novel....
