I've been doing some research on them. Plus, checking out two different online places that sell them. I don't like amazon they don't have the books I want. I would rather go thru B&N to buy my books. I'm going to have to spend money next month to get some books to finish a few series that I can't find in stores I've been going too.

So what's you guys opinion of where to buy your books for your ereaders at.

I went with a Kindle because it was the only e-reader with 3G.  If the 3G hadn't been a deciding feature for me, then I'd have gone with one of the Nooks.  There's even a new one out that's e-ink and also backlit for reading at night, which seems like a pretty cool idea.  I would go with a reputable brand though no matter what in case you need tech support later on.

Honestly, where you want to buy your books from after you pick the reader isn't that big of a deal.  If you want a book that isn't available on Kindle, just buy the file from somewhere else and use Calibre to convert it to a Kindle-compatible format.

Books Without Any Pictures

Personally, I like the Nook better. If some book is just unavailable on the Nook- I have the Kindle app on the iPhone. The main reason I didn't get a Kindle is because I think that they should give them away for free. I mean, I don't want to have to convert a book to be read on the Kindle (don't even know if that's legal), so I would be stuck buying books from Amazon. I think that this is like cell phones- they give free phones because you have to get cell phone service from them. They make money their money off you long term. To me, if I have to buy from Amazon, they should give me a Kindle for free since I'm a captive audience too (like the cell phone companies). I may buy a Nook from Barnes and Noble, but I can still buy from Kobo or Google or anywhere else that sells epubs or PDF's.
