I've had my blog - The Chaotic Reader - up for a little over a year now and have been posting on a regular basis for about five months. So far, I've posted only reviews. I've had light but steady traffic and slow increases in followers. To help improve those stats, I'm considering participating in blog tours, doing some author interviews, and sponsoring some giveaways. I have no idea how to get started with any of those. Anyone have any advice or suggestions?

There's lots of Blog Tour companies out there, Bewitching Blog Tours, Dark Mind Book Tours, Bookhound Book Tours, Ladt Amber Book Tours, I have a scrolly on my blog that has a few Blog Tour companies on it here's my blog link if you wish to check them out, http://jeanzbookreadnreview.blogspot.co.uk/
Giveaways are great and can be done in conjunction with a Blog Tour Company, Author, Publishers, or supplied by yourself (though it can be expensive for P&P) A lot of bloggers do Gift Card Giveaways using Amazon or The Book Depository.
If you are going to do blog tours and book set dates for different posts etc get a diary as it can get quite hectic.
Also (hope you don't mind me adding) don't forget Indie Authors, they will also sometimes provide an e-copy of their book to a giveaway winner, or even a paperback occasionally.

Hi Dan!
I would find out about the people you follow on twitter and facebook. You would be amazed at home many people are looking for those services. I do all of those and I have a high number in traffic for my blog. It's about connecting with the right people to get your blog the attention it needs. Be sure to promote it across all social networks that you are apart of.
Let me know if you need any help!

Hi Dan,
I don't have a blog, but I'm active on facebook and twitter. I've found a couple of groups that might be of interest to you. You might want to check out Bloggerdise.com, use #TBSU on twitter. The new hashtag lets bloggers find each other, list each other on their own websites and in general promote the group. And finally, there is a group of writers called the Authors Social Media Support Group, ASMSG, of which I'm a member. Please check out our website http://asmsg.weebly.com/index.html
