I've only watched the movie. I liked the movie, but I felt that it wasn't long enough to really get to know the characters. I'm sure in the book you become more attached to the characters and enjoy it more because of that
I read the book several years ago and absolutely loved it. I saw the movie last week and also absolutely loved it. Maybe it's partly because it's been a while since I read the book, but I thought that the screenwriter very solidly created the feeling of the book without trying to fit in every tangential storyline of the very long book. I was very pleased with the movie adaptation.
I read the book and loved it enormously. In my opinion, the movies rarely ever match up to the books, so I will wait for The Time Traveler's Wife on DVD. The hard part is deciding if I want to re-read the book before I watch it. Maybe if I do that now, I'll forget how it goes again by the time the DVD comes out and won't be so disappointed.
I absolutely loved the book! The movie was pretty dark good, but I honestly think the movie was better. I wrote a review, but there might be some spoilers, so I didn't want to post it right on this page. Check it out here...
I read the book (one of my favs) and went and saw the movie....I thought they did a very good job keeping to the main plot of the book, the depth and some of the characters didnt even make it into the movie but I thought they did a nice job, Im torn over the "ending" the books ending for me was very haunting.....the movies end is sad as well, but left the story with a bit more happiness
