What's the meaning of a Liebster Award and as a blogger do I want one? Anyone with less than 200 followers can be a recipient. I've received some nominations, but you need to contact 10 other blogs with less than 200 followers..not sure I know 10....answer a bunch of questions and send out a bunch of questions..Not sure if it's really acknowleging my blog...Help me understand....

YES YOU WANT ONE!
A liebster Blogger award is kind of like a chain email.
One person sends it to 11 people, then the next sends it to 11 people... etc..etc..etc..
It's meant to recognize good blogs that haven't been recognized for their good work. (Thus the under 200 followers)
It is not a way to get more views or anything of that sort.
It's an award you can recieve and give you bloggers/ blogger groups that deserve it.
Personally when I received my award a few days ago, I only gave it to 3 people. For exactly the same reason you stated.
It's quite the popular award, as many successful book bloggers have received this. You normally show it off on your sidebar or footer.
It's just something you pass along to the other bloggers you like. No real award or something, just a way of passing around your blogs name I suppose ;) as you have to mention who nominated you and all.
Thankyou Nida and BookGazer for the clarification...
Sounds like a lot of work...but it's good to know that you don't have to send it to 10 bloggers..Most of the blogs I see have loads of followers.
But don't you think that the number of followers doesn't always indicate how many people are actually reading the blog? In my case, I know that's true.

Yeah, I've noticed that, some have a lot of followers but not a lot of comments. Maybe not everyone comments but do they get the same amount of views on every post?
Hello! I've also received this, so I can tell you it's mostly just for fun! You do get to show off the badge on your blog, but it's mainly something to use to interact with other bloggers!
I wouldn't mind giving it a go!
I only have 17 followers, so anything that helps engage sounds good.
