What Are Some Words That You Simply Cannot Stand?

Hi All,

What are some words you just cannot stand to hear or read at all? Words that absolutely get on your nerves?

I can name four that I absolutely hate!!!!! Mostly because none of them are real words. They might be in the dictionary (I think one is but not sure about the other three), but to me they will never be words, LOL! I just hate when people use them because they sound so incorrect and weird.

1) Tween
I HATE this word! Some people think it's cute I guess. I hope this doesn't become an accepted word of the English language! I cringe whenever I hear or read it! A minor is either a teenager or not. If they are under thirteen then they are kids. Can we please retire "tweens"? LOL!

2) Thrice
I've always hated this word! The hairs on my arm stand up whenever I hear it. It's a word someone just made up and now some folks think it's a real word. Thrice is one of the strangest most annoying words I've ever heard.

3) Babymama

4) Babydaddy

(I hate seeing BOTH of these words being combined to form ONE word! These are separate words! It just gets to me, LOL! Talk about abusing the English language! LOL!)

What are some words you absolutely hate?

Best Wishes!

Stuff and Thing are the two I hate the most. They are the least discriptive and are over used.

At last, I can rant about this word!!! Thank you for the outlet. Actually. I was just thinking this AM how much I hear the word actually and I hate the word actually. Working in fast food this is what I hear:
"I would like a taco...actually, I would like a taco without lettuce..."
So many people tell me what they would "actually like to have" and it drives me crazy!!!

Mine is F--K in every single paragraph. Especially when you are reading historical fiction! Somehow I doubt that was used that regularly in Victorian England. It drives me crazy.

Juicy.

there's just something really obscene about that word.

Hehe, I love how obscene it sounds. And I never saw it as an obscene word, until I saw this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBRkgnbtb8E
