I posted my own reading goals for 2009 on my page and I was wondering if anyone else had reading goals for the new year. Please share what books you want to read this year. You may help me to expand my goal or someone else goals list!

My goal every year is to read at least 100 books - that is usually pretty attainable for me, so I have a nice feeling of satisfaction at the end of each year. =) I've also joined a whole bunch of challenges for the first time, so I hope to do well at those.

My goal this year is to read 200 books, and hopefully have around half of them come from my TBR pile. I read 163 books, so it should be doable. :D Hopefully.

My goals this year are simple, I just want to read a book. I start so many books and just have a hard time finishing them. I get excited about a new book I have purchased and want to start reading it that I forget all about the book I have already started.

I'm with you on this, Lauren :-) although I'm aiming for one book a month for myself and my kid. I've also started a Read-a-Month challenge - do check it out at http://rightreads.com

I haven't set in stone any goals, but I had planned to read more classics this year. I am planning to read two by Elizabeth Gaskell, and I also want to read all of Jane Austen's novels. I have read some of hers, but not all. I am hoping to read at least one a month, but it also depends on how long it takes me to plow through them. If anyone has ideas of their favorites let me know.

I'm aiming for 300 books total this year because my TBR pile is at over 800, and I am committed to finishing it eventually :)
