What blog platform do you use and why?

I use Wordpress, because the sites overall have a more professional feel to them and tend to be less cluttered.  What are everybody else's preferences?  What are the advantages and disadvantages of each?

I also use Wordpress and I really enjoy it, but I do think you are limited in how much you can customize your blog with the free version.  However, I also agree that it does feel a tad more professional.

I am currently on Blogger, but I plan to move over to wordpress or SOMETHING else a bit more versatile.

 

Blogger is great for the every day blogger, but if you want to launch into something bigger (which I do) - wordpress is a great start.

I've used Blogger in the past for other blogs, but last year we moved our blogs to Wordpress.org (not .com). My husband is a programmer, so he set it all up. I think Blogger is more user friendly, especially for those who don't know much about HTML or other coding & such. Wordpress.org can do some amazing things if you know what you're doing (or have someone who does, like I do with my husband). He's taught me enough to get by, but he's done a lot of behind-the-scenes work on it that I could never do myself. I've never actually tried Wordpress.com because we moved straight from Blogger to Wordpress.org.

I would go to Wordpress.org too. From what I have heard wordpress.COM is even more limited then blogger.

 

I have a brother in law who is a web designer. He is helping me get set up and eventually we will do a full switch over to the new site :)

I'm using Wordpress myself -- not the free one, but the version you install into your own server. It gives me near complete control as to how I want my website to look and feel. I think Blogger is great too, but I feel like a lot of Blogger blogs are really cluttered?

I am using Wordpress.com and I don't really like it. It's way too limited. There are more features in Blogger, but I don't trust Blogger enough... especially with the problems it has been having. I am seriously considering moving my blog to Wordpress.org. Since I don't know much about servers, hosting and the like, I'll have to do a bit of reading about it first!

I have a self-hosted wordpress blog (which I guess is the same as saying I use wordpress.org). This decision was based largely on the fact that I've used wordpress for other blogs in the past and feel the most comfortable with it. Besides that, I really don't like blogger. At all. From a viewer standpoint, the blogger blogs I've visited have seemed very clunky and cluttered to me. From a blogger standpoint, I've found it very annoying to use.
