This summer I finished my first novel "Liberty Taken" and after many rejections from agents I decided to self-publish on Amazon and Smashwords.
Since I can't afford to have my book printed, it's only available as an e-book, but I don't even own an E-reader (like a Kindle, Nook or iPad). I can only read books on my computer and that sucks.
Any suggestions what I should buy? What's the best value? Which one is easy to use? I'm completely new to all of this, so all advice is welcome.
Thanks,
Starla Ramcy

Hi Ms. Tiptress, Thanks for your reply. It's good to hear someone mention a completely different kind of E-reader. I visited your blog and noticed how enthusiastic you are about it.
I also stumbled on what you wrote about Sidney Sheldon. As a young adult, he was was favorite author. What's the story behind Master of the Game? Is it rewritten? And who is this Tilly Bagshawe?
Are you a writer yourself?
Permalink Reply by Susan Milby on November 4, 2011 at 4:23pm I personally researched the pros and cons of the "then current" e-readers on several different sites prior to choosing. I found that overall the Kindle was the best choice, not only could i download .mobi (kindle) books, but there is a free program for your computer that will translate/transfer pdf books into .mobi as well.
I also compared the kindle titles available to those for nook and found there are more for kindle than nook (and they are mostly the same titles)
Still, I would recommend you do an internet search on consumer reviews, personal reviews as well as your post here. Happy chosing!
