What is a really reliable way to get arcs?

I have a lot of followers, and my stats are fine, but every time I request a book via netgalley or email, they deny me.  Any other websites out there for arcs?  OR advice?

After a quick glance at your blog, it doesn't look like you have many reviews. That's what publishers/authors want to see. It costs them money to send out ARCs so they're only going to send them to people who write a good number of reviews. Start writing more reviews. It's fine if you're a slow reader or you're busy. One review a week is better than nothing.

For net galley you need to read carefully the publisher requirements. Some them want certain information about you especially YA books . I recently requested an YA book and got rejected so I went read the requirements and turns out they wanted stats for my site. I updated my public profile and they approve me when I re requested the same book.  Public profile on net galley is very important it how you sell yourself as blogger to the publicists. Be very specific and included a sample review that you  have done.  Fell free to contact me  if need more help or advise

When you request a book, make sure to include links to at least a couple of reviews that you have already written.  Also, I agree with Alison that the number of reviews you write is a factor.  And you might want to consider focusing on a particular genre of books for a while (such as YA novels, memoirs or popular fiction), and then branching out once the books/galleys/ARCs start coming in.  Finally, consider volunteering to write some reviews for an established/ongoing online site; there are many that will send you free books in exchange for your review(s).  Some of these sites have a relationship with Netgalley and publishers, so mentioning that you're writing for them is a big plus.  Good luck!   Best, Joseph

A lot of the time, NetGalley reviewers don't fill out their stats so publishers don't know much about them and are reluctant to approve them. If they can see that you have an active blog, it certainly ups your chance. From my experience I did not start recieving ARC's until I reached 500 followers.  Now I have no problem getting ARC's but some publishers still do not answer my e-mails.  But I do agree that you need to review more books.  I put up at least 3 book reviews a week when I have time but you need to do at least one a week.

Hi! You have plenty of followers, so I wouldn't worry about that. You may want to add your follower count in your NetGalley public profile.

I wouldn't contact the authors for ARCs. They usually don't get more than 5 and just end up referring you to their publicist. To save them time, I recommend going to the publicist directly. It takes a little research, but I get virtually every book I request from publicists. 

Also, make sure you post a review for every three non-review posts. That way their is always an example of a review really close to the top of your blog.

I'm not sure if it has been mentioned or not, but there are many tour blogs that you can sign up for, I am a tour host for Bewitching Book Tours. Most of the books are pdfs. Once in a while there will be ARCs sent from that sight. Another tour sight I just recently found is A Tale Of Many Reviews, which are mostly YA novels. There are many others that you can sign up for, but those are the main two that I use. Hope that helps

If you started out a book blog to get ARCs..... it's the wrong way to go.  Your followers can matter a little, but where's the reviews?  I went through 2 pages and saw 1 review. Maybe 1 1/2.  Just keep going at it, review books you buy.

I agree, they are looking for the reviews. They're also looking to see if you've filled out your bio to their liking.  I remember when I signed up at netgalley it took a few times to get all of the information they requested set up and then I was accepted all of the time.

When you request a book, be sure to tell them what you will do to promote their book.  Will you post your reviews just on your blog or on commercial and reader sites?  Let them know.
