So, I published my review of Skin Trade on Amazon, and among their suggested tags were "bad porn","bad writing",and "skank trade." What is that about?? These were the tags that were suggested by Amazon, not like reader recommendations or anything. Has anyone else encountered negativity like this when posting reviews on Amazon?

I stopped posting reviews on Amazon months ago. Now I post them only on my own book blog and Goodreads.
I generally post them on my blog, Shelfari, Librarything and Amazon. I like posting on Amazon because I feel like they just get a much bigger audience. However, I am seriously considering not posting there anymore. More and more, I am noticing that they have a lot of practices that I don't agree with.
I post on my blog and Goodreads. Both are hooked up to twitter. I'd rather have a small but interested audience where I control the content than be micromanaged at Amazon.
I don't know what the book is about but that's crazy. I find it too hard to post my reviews in too many different spots so I usually only post on amazon if an author asks me too or I feel really strongly about letting others know about it or if there are no reviews of that book. Amazon's going nuts.
That was my feeling. I like Laurell's books, a lot of others do, and a lot of others don't. No biggie. It just seemed to me, with all of the editing of reviews and restricting of reviews that Amazon is famous for, they would have less controversial tags auto-populating on their review submission form. (BTW, Cerulean Sins is my favorite in the series, too.)
Happens to me all the time, especially with negative reviews. I have decided to post my reviews on Goodreads which allows you to say whatever you want.
I never heard of this but that does sound weird. It may be a long shot, but if I were you, I'd contact Amazon and see if they can share the light on this. I notice that people don't seem to put too much stock in Amazon reviews anymore or put up as many reviews as they used to. Don't worry about it, Patricia. Sometimes you just have fools who do negative things for attention.

Best Wishes!
