What is the worst book you've ever read? Oddly enough, a lot of people respond with books that are on Random House Top 100 List! Let me know......

This is one many loved but it was the worst for me and I really did try - The Time Travelers Wife. The whole back and fourth, all books with that style will never get read by me. I had to give up.

I'm glad I didn't try the Twilight series, I watched the movie and thought ok it was alright....

Hi Kristina,

I have to honestly say the worst book is the so-called mystery I am reading now. It is from a NYT best selling author and it's not a new book, but it's from one of his series. I am trying to stick with it but there's so much in it that turns me off. If you want to see my feelings about it you can go to the thread I started "What Kills A Book For You Immediately".

I won't name the book or author. I have a policy against that. I am an author myself and so if I have something negative to say about fellow authors, I keep my mouth shut. I try to respect them and I also know that Google is a powerful weapon. I would feel bad if I Googled and found another author talking bad about my books so I give them the same courtesy.

I know many authors don't care and a lot freely tear down other authors' books but that's not me. There are too many people on the net and that can get back to an author.

If you get the time, visit the thread though.

Best Wishes!

Heirloom: Evening Tales from the East. I even threw it in the dustbin after forcing myself through the first chapter of the first story. It was like a crapy rendition of A Thousand and One Arabian Nights.

I would have to say it would have to be The God Whale by T.J. Bass some people consider it a masterpiece. I could not stand it.
