Looking for some PENETRATING questions to help me decide if I REALLY want to get back into writing, and if so, what kind. I DO need to bring in a moderate cash flow. But the CENTRAL question is: what MODE of writing: Fiction? Lyrics? News? Grant proposals? I just wrote this (in all modesty) ter-RIF-fic Grant Endorsement Letter for a local NGO, and it really got ILBY (my Internal Little Boy) all stirred up. Any thoughts?

If your heart tells you to write, that's what I'd do. Just let it take you where the story wants to go. You never know what you'll end up with.

It has to be something that strikes an internal chord (no pun intended) with you. If something stirs the muse go with it. Writing is not something you can really use for cash flow perhaps with so many strings to you bow you might want to see about reviewing for your local paper be it live gigs, CD's etc. You may end up having to do some for free but if it takes off they could well add you to the pay roll. Failing all else you'll get into gigs free so its not a bad night out. LOL
