What your plan for you bookblog and reading in the New Year?

I posted a blog on here saying some of my plans for my blog and what I plan on reading. I'm trying to hit 100 books read so far. I know I'll go beyond that. Maybe work on 200 books read. But its a slow process right now being I'm only posting twice a month.

Working on trying to read new authors, whether its new authors or someone I've read a long time back. I've got series to finish reading and books to think about getting. I quit my list of books for now and working on just adding new authors and stories. Hoping to add books that others haven't read before or post about a book that has been already been posted by others.

What's your plan for the New Year when it comes to your blogs and reading?

I committed myself to reading at least 6 zombie books and over 100+ books. I also want to be able to interview as many wonderful authors on my website as possible along with doing fun giveaways for my readers. I just really want my book blog to be a lot of fun for everyone this year.

I commit myself to read more books I want and make less commitments ;)

I haven't really come up with plans for the New Year which is really sad.  I know I'll be reading and reviewing books because people send them to me and I can't turn them down.  I would love to get more vampire related authors on the blog and start focusing on that more.  I just finished up my second book in my series and really excited about getting that out there this year.  The idea for the third book just came to me this week so probably most of my focus will be getting that book down.  I hope everyone has an incredible New Year!

Shawn,

I would be very interested in hearing how your experience goes with screenwriting. This is something I've contemplated myself but I don't have the good fortune to have a background in that field.

Sincerely,

Michelle Hughes

I can imagine it is.  I moved from Nashville back to Alabama to escape the music rat race there

No way! I used to watch BraveStarr. Didn't he have a mechanical horse that used to stand up on its hind legs and fire a great big bazooka?

I don't know how you guys manage 100+ books in one year!  I did 25 books in 2011 and I'm hoping to take it up a notch and do 30 in 2012.

I also want to try to interview some authors in the new year.   I've never done that before and I think it'd be a lot of fun.

Good luck in 2012!

100 books?! Seriously? I'll be very lucky to manage even half that. In my defence, I do tend to read great big door-stopper books. And I'm a very slow reader. My blog? Well, I've got no plans to change what I'm doing. Reading books, reviewing books, writing incredibly witty, insightful posts all about the booky world. That sort of thing.  I would like to start getting more authors on my blog though. In fact, I'm planning to host my first ever guest author in the new year! Bring it on!

My goal is to hit 50 followers. I also want to interview as many author on my site as well. I hope to write 4 more book in paper back as  well as an e-book. Each month I would love to have a contest going on as well.

My goals for 2012:

  1. Read at least 50 books
  2. Read books within a different "theme" each month (e.g. "fantasy novels" or "banned books").
  3. Do a better job of commenting on other blogs and generally being more social.

My first blog post of the new year will be "Something for Everyone in 2012" where I'll suggest some good novels that will be published, starting in January.

As to what I'll read, wow! I have a "must read" list a mile long! The first book I plan to read is "Old Murders Never Die" by Marja McGraw. I also want to read "Fallen From Grace" by John Lindermuth. Those are just for starters!

Of course, blogging and reading are very important to me but the main thing I want to accomplish in 2012 when it comes to the written word is to write some. I'll continue to work on editing the second novel in my Malone Mystery Series and then go on to write the third novel.

Lots of fun stuff to look forward to in 2012!

Hey Janiera

May I recommend a completely new book that is receiving absolutely rave reviews?  My recently released ebook novel, You Can't Run From the Heat is something I am very passionate about promoting.  As a writer, I conduct interviews myself but don't personally know anyone that does the same.  I would love for you to be the first to interview me and do a book review.

If you're interested, check out the link on Amazon.  I will happily send you a complimentary e-copy to read for yourself.  Thanks so much!
