Are you in it for the money, fame, satisfaction? Do you just have voices in your head that have to be heard? Inquiring minds want to know:)

I write because it relaxes me. As a mom of four and an engineer (not to mention my other voluteer jobs), writing takes me to places I could only dream up. When I am not writing - I get bored, and before I know it, I'm writing again. Now as for fame and fortune. I personally love my day job and being a mom. To me, I'm already rich. Just to have an audience for my stories is a more than I could ever ask.
I write because my mind is restless. Because when I was little I would imagine world I couldnt see. Because I like being a storyteller.

If I were in it for the money I would be getting a very hard lesson about now! I write because I can't NOT write for very long, and I love the feeling of accomplishment when I've written and finessed something into a state that people enjoy reading. I admit I enjoy the look of surprise on people's faces when they find out they're talking to a real author (it took me ten years to reach this point, so I have to enjoy it, right?) but fame isn't what I'm looking for--I just love writing stories and sharing them with others. =)

I write because if I stop, I would go crazy. haha.
I write because I feel as though writers can be a voice of somebody, at least one person, out there. We reach out, we speak for them, we tell their stories, when sometimes they are not heard. So I guess the voices are not necessarily mine, so to speak, but theirs instead. To be able to do this in an honest manner, is satisfaction enough.
