I'm assuming that most of us blog because we enjoy reading, putting words together and expressing our opinions. But what prompted you to start blogging?
For me it was the number of friends I had asking me for book recommends. I got tired of repeating myself and decided to put it online.
I've actually wondered the same. As an author, I personally often can't read the first page of a book much less an entire one without cringing at poor writing. Maybe it's because I spend all my time criticizing my own work. But Book Reviewers have to be the same, right? How do you guys suffer through the slush just for fun?
Book reviewers are absolutely necessary for authors like me, we need your reviews and your platform to publicize our works, but...it just doesn't seem worth the reward to me. Sure, free books, but really? Is that all? It seems like a ton of time spending (in agony) in order to find just a few gems. You're all like pseudo-agents.
i was always searching for new books in the internet and i liked the blogs, and thought: why not, maybe i can help yomeone like myself too =)
