Why is my Meme a flop?!?!?!

I am looking for some HONEST, Straight forward feedback...

 

Tell me, What is wrong with my Meme and why is my participation so low?

 

I really want to get my meme up and going and get to know more about the Book Bloggers around me! HELP!!!

I wouldn't say your meme is a flop at all! You had six participants in the first week and three in the second. While that's certainly nowhere close to the numbers "In My Mailbox" or "Top Ten Tuesdays" can generate, it's a pretty good showing. My own meme often gets only one other participant per week--and that's when I'm lucky! =P

 

The reason I haven't joined your meme is that I'm just not drawn to survey-type memes. I don't even join the Friday hops because they require me to answer a personal question! But that's just because I'm unfriendly. ;-)

 

What I'd recommend is for you to combine your hop with the Crazy for Books hop in a "cross-over" post, and then encourage all other Crazy for Books participants to do the same. I'm not guaranteeing it will work, but it will be more visible that way. And who knows? Some other bloggers who hop your way and find the question fun might modify their own posts on the spot!

I just wanted to encourage you to continue. I stopped by your blog this week. I sure enjoy all the work you have put in.  My blog is for the women at church especially those who come to book club. June will begin 9 months on the blog and I still can't get women at church to post comments on the blog... Don't give up... You have readers!!! You are a writer!! You are being to hard on yourself, you have participants, it will take time, keep going.  For me immediately I wouldn't have thought it was about books, that may be an issue.  Some bloggers enjoy the personal posts and that is what I assumed.
