In response to a recent discussion a "publisher" was named (www.strategicbookpublishing.com)
I would like to point out that there is an excellent web site run by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America. They call it their Writer Beware page.
It is vital that people do their homework before signing up with anyone. Google is the most powerful place to start.

Preditors and Editors run by Dave Kiminzky (might be misspelled, LOL!) is a great resource too, Allan. They list agents and publishers and share why they may or may not be reputable. You are right. It is vital for writers to do their homework. It's their responsibility too and will save them potential heartache and problems in the future. There are MANY sharks out there and they target writers' dreams, ultimately damaging their confidence and sometimes their desire for writing.

Best Wishes!

Anyone who asks for a fee up front is probably a scammer.
